Maian Support 1.2 => TicketDesk Pro Conversion:
This will upgrade your 1.2 installation of Maian Support to TicketDesk Pro v1.2. Before you begin, it is highly recommended that you make a backup
of your current database, so that you can revert back to the previous installation should something go wrong. Its also worth noting that if you made extensive template
modifications to Maian Support, these changes will be lost on conversion and you`ll have to re-modify.
If you aren`t sure of your version of Maian Support, we recommend you try a clean install of TicketDesk Pro.
Please follow the instructions below carefully.
Conversion Instructions:
1. Delete ALL files/folders from your current Maian Support 1.2 installation. If you want to keep any attachments uploaded do NOT
delete the 'images/attachments/' folder.
2. Download and Unzip the TicketDesk Pro v1.2 files and unzip to a directory on your computer.
3. In the TicketDesk Pro folder on your hard drive, open the 'inc/db_connection.inc.php' and point it to your current Maian Support database. It will be the same connection
information thats in your current 'inc/db_connection.inc.php' file.
IMPORTANT! Make sure that the database prefix is exactly the same as it was originally. For Maian Support the default would
have probably been 'ms_', but check in your original connection file.
4. Upload ALL files/folders from the TicketDesk Pro folder into your support folder to replace the ones you deleted a moment ago. If you have deleted the 'images/attachments/' folder, chmod the new
'images/attachments/' folder to 777 to make it world writeable. If you are unsure of this procedure, contact your host. If you have kept your old 'images/attachments/' folder
do NOT overwrite it with the new.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT run the TicketDesk Pro v1.2 Installer.
5. In your browser, access the 1.2 database conversion module. This is located at 'install/maian2/'. So if your files are located at:
http://www.yoursite.com/support/
You would access:
http://www.yoursite.com/support/install/maian2/
Follow the onscreen instructions to update your database.
6. Delete the 'install' folder from your installation. Or rename it.
Thats is, all done! Enter your admin area and update your settings. Also update your users with any new options. Note that some options that were enabled by default, might now have be re-enabled in the settings. Access your admin area and ticket interface with the same urls as you had before (unless you changed the install folder name). Your admin
log in details are the same as before. Enable any other features you want to use in the admin area.
You might need to update your header graphic if you had one in place before.

Support. More features are planned for the future. Here is a brief rundown of some of the features you now have available if your upgrade was successful (note that some of these features may be restricted if you are using the FREE
version)
Assign Users to Multiple Departments - You can now assign users to multiple departments.
Standard Responses - You can now add standard reponses. Find yourself repeating yourself? You`ll find this feature very
useful.
As you were running v1.2 of Maian Support, changes were added in later versions that will apply to this upgrade as well.
